Willie Mae Bowman
Funeral services for Willie Mae Bowman, 80, of Monterey will be conducted Monday October 1 at 11 AM in the chapel of Horner Funeral Home in Monterey. Interment will follow in the Hanging Limb Cemetery in Overton County. Bro. David Harris will officiate.
Mrs. Bowman died Friday September 28, 2007 at her home.
Mrs. Bowman was born November 25, 1926 in Overton County, Tennessee to the late Isaac Marion and Edna Zine Phillips Dishman.
Mrs. Bowman was a homemaker and of the Freewill Baptist Faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Roy Dishman and two sisters, Alice Lee Loftis and Elsie Bowman Hotsinpiller.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years (whom she married August 12, 1947 in Rossville, Georgia) Paul Bowman, one brother and sister-in-law; Letcher and Brenda Dishman of Cookeville, one sister-in-law; Virginia Dishman of Hendersonville, TN and one brother-in-law John Hotsinpiller of Monterey.
Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 until 7 PM and Monday from 10 AM until service time at the funeral home.
Horner Funeral Home of Monterey is in charge of arrangements.
