Kenneth Thomas Eddleman

KENNETH EDDLEMAN

COOKEVILLE-Funeral services for LTC Kenneth Thomas Eddleman, 75 of Cookeville will be held Thursday, September 27 at 11 AM in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Frank and Robert Dudney officiating. Interment will follow in Spring City Cemetery in Spring City, TN.

Mr. Eddleman died Sunday, September 23, 2007 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

He was born February 14, 1932 in Mount Pleasant, TN to the late Horace and Pauline Carroll Eddlemon.

Mr. Eddleman attended Stevens Street Baptist Church.

He was a graduate of Tennessee Tech University and commissioned from the TTU ROTC in 1953. He was also a graduate of Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. His military career included service in the Vietnam War and in various locations around the world. His last duty prior to retirement as Lieutenant Colonel in 1975 was an ROTC instructor at TTU.

Following his military career, he spent 20 years as an associate with Twin Lakes Telephone Company.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Pete Eddleman and brother Loyd Eddlemon.

Mr. Eddleman is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Mary Watson Eddleman (whom he married May 15, 1952 in Rossville, Georgia) two sons and daughter-in-laws; Kenny and Mary Carol Eddleman of Atlanta, GA, and Jon and Lara Eddleman of Dahlonega, GA, two daughters and son-in-law; Becky Mahoney of Cookeville and Mary Anne and Austin Stubblefield of Clarksville, TN; three brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Sheila Eddlemon of Columbia, TN, Larry and Linda Eddlemon of Chattanooga, TN and Charles and Patti Eddlemon of Dexter, MI, one sister and brother-in-law; Pat and Bobby Fite of Williamsport, TN, nine grandchildren; Mary Leigh Stubblefield, Callie Stubblefield, Sean, Evan & Erin Mahoney, Rachel & Kaila Eddleman, Madison & Davis Carroll Eddleman.

Pallbearers will be Sean Mahoney, Evan Mahoney, Joe Ferrel, Jasper McWilliams, Austin Stubblefield, John Stanley, Bill Mahaney and Shane Ward.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM on Wednesday and again Thursday from 10 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Hooper Huddleston &Horner is in charge of arrangements.
