Fall FunFest Brings Excitement to Cookeville’s Square this Weekend

The 10th Annual Fall FunFest will fill Cookeville’s square with fun for the whole family this Friday and Saturday.
Friday Night Highlights
Bring your appetite Friday night for the Cookeville CookOff presented by Corona. The CookOff begins at 5:30 pm when cook teams from across the country offer some of the best ribs, pork, and chicken to be found for miles around.
The Bank of Putnam County Battle of the Bands starts at 5:00 pm on the Obscure Café Stage in Teen World followed at 7:30 pm by The Churchills.
The Full Throttle Skate Park boasts some of the best ramps to be seen in Cookeville in years! Come out for demonstrations and plenty of open skate time.
Dance the night away on the Bi-Lo/Coca-Cola Stage with Legacy at 6:00 pm and Burning Las Vegas (presented by Regions Bank) at 8:00 pm.
Saturday Highlights
The day begins bright and early at 7:00 am with the 5th running of the Eloqui Fun Run. For the first time, the course is officially certified. The courses are now exactly 5 kilometers and 10 kilometers long. Every runner will receive a commemorative t-shirt and goody bag.
Bring the kids down for a full day of fun in WCTE TV's Stations of Imagination at Fall Fun Fest. There will be numerous hands-on activity booths and a full day of family entertainment on WCTE's stage...all for free! And don't forget your camera; Walkaround Bert and Ernie from Sesame Workshop and Clifford, the Big Red Dog will be here to meet some of their biggest fans of all ages. WCTE TV's 10th anniversary of Stations of Imagination will be open from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm on Saturday, Sept. 10th at Fall Fun Fest.
Don’t miss the karaoke contest for anyone 25 and younger starting at 11:00 am on the Obscure Café Stage in Teen World. Followed by open karaoke and a full day of great music capped off by Chattanooga’s favorite rock band, Hopsing Project at 7:30 pm.
Show off your stuff at the Best Trick Skateboard Competition at 3:00 pm in the Full Throttle Skate Park. And there’s still plenty of open skate time before and after the competition.
Take part in the Gaming competition in Teen World. Play for fun or compete against others on the latest x-box games in our Gaming Tent complete with big screen TV’s provided by Aaron Rents.
As usual, the Bi-Lo/Coca-Cola stage will be packed with entertainment all day beginning at 1:00 pm featuring The Way, The Mitguards, Carib Sound Steel Band, Harsh Kreiger and Short Bus. The weekend ends on a high note with Jimmy Hall presented by Regions Bank beginning at 8:30 pm.
